Towboats have come a long way over the last 20 years as sports like wakeboarding and wake surfing have emerged spawning a multitude of products and accessories. During this time towboats have taken on sport-specific roles such as mid-engine towboats for slalom skiing yielding little to no wake, or v-drive towboats for wake sports with features to produce larger wakes. Sport specific towboats are fantastic but unless you are George Clooney and can afford a boat for every discipline, you may want to look at a multi-sport boat such as the all-new Nautique GS20, which does everything extremely well and without compromise. What makes a multi-sport towboat so versatile? The GS20 is the coming together of several of Nautique’s patented and award winning hulls into a single multi-sport boat. From bow to the stern, the forward running surface borrows from their award winning Ski Nautique series boats producing a flat smooth wake at higher speeds in the 28-36 mph range ideal for slalom skiing. The mid section is adapted from their G-series boats shaping a crisp clean wake at wakeboarding speeds in the 18-24 mph range. With 1850 lbs of sub floor ballast there are lots of ways to customize the wake to appease any level rider without losing creature comfort or storage inside the boat. At the stern, both rear corners are fitted with the Nautique Surf System® (NSS) which are special plates designed to shape the perfect surf wave on either side of the boat with the ability to switch the wave profile from side to side with the push of a button. To go one step further, the stern is also home to the Nautique Configurable Running Surface® (NCRS) which can be used to tailor the shape of the wake for any water sport and at any speed. It essentially extends the running surface of the hull bringing the boat on plane quicker helping to flatten the wake with a perfect attitude at slalom skiing speeds. At wakeboard speeds, the NCRS can be used to further shape the profile of the wake from a steep to a more gradual approach. Then at surf speeds it again helps to dial in a crisp clean wake pocket for hours of surfing enjoyment.

When the boards and skis have been hung up on the tower mounted board racks to dry, the GS20 is ready to extend your social time on the water. It’s the most spacious 20ft v-drive currently available on the market with a 12-person capacity and loads of creature comforts. The deep freeboard creates a cozy environment ideal for entertaining and the stepped stern creates easy access and egress to the water. There is ample storage under the seats and rear hatch for all your accessories and simple features such as a removable cooler and an integrated garbage container helping to keep your interior looking its best. The helm is home to the all-new Linc Panoray, which centralizes all the electronics into a large single touch screen system complete with joystick navigation.

If you are looking for one boat to do everything, then you owe it to yourself to contact a product specialist and test drive the all-new Nautique GS20 to see first hand what this particular multi-sport towboat is all about.
